Executive Director

In the role of Executive Director Katie provides guidance, leadership and overall direction of Center operations ensuring ongoing programmatic excellence and consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, marketing, and outreach. Katie has been working with families and older adults in the Greater Philadelphia area for over 17 years. Katie joined Wayne Senior Center in 2016 as Program Director before being named Executive Director in 2019. She serves as Treasurer on the Pennsylvania Association of Senior Centers board of directors, representing the Southeast Region (Delaware County).

Program Director

As Program Director, Margo develops and implements creative & innovative Center programs and special events, builds relationships with community partners, and supervises the Programming team. Margo has been working with families and older adults for over 30 years. She has extensive experience designing, coordinating, and running psychoeducational support groups, community aging in place programs, and managing senior centers.

Office Manager

As Office Manager, Lisa is responsible for bookkeeping, database administration, and supervises the Center Assistant team. Lisa also manages the Fitness Center and can answer your Silver Sneakers/Renew Active eligibility questions. Lisa hails from a career in banking and investments, working for companies such as Bank of Texas, PFPC and SEI Investments. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and reading. She also serves on the volunteer board of T&E Care as the Assistant Treasurer.

Program Coordinator

Destinie develops and leads many of our dynamic programs and writes our monthly Center newsletter. On Wednesdays you can find her at the front of the class as our certified Drums Alive! Instructor. Destinie is a Philadelphia native and human services professional with a background in teaching and counseling. She has a passion for serving her community, specifically children, families, and older adults. Her hobbies include painting, pottery making, and design.

Digital Navigator

Francis is our go-to expert for all things technology! He offers 1:1 tech assistance, teaches tech related workshops both on and off site, and manages WSC Connect and the Technology Lending Library. A native of upstate New York and recent resident of Philadelphia, Francis is a musician and visual artist with a background in technology support.

Social Worker

Katherine is available to help seniors and family members navigate social service needs, lead Center support groups, offer information and referral assistance and more! Katherine is a Social Worker with 30 years experience working in all areas of healthcare including acute care, nursing home and hospice work. She and her husband moved to this area 2 ½ years ago from Upstate NY. Prior to the move she owned her own Geriatric Care Management practice serving all areas of need for the local community.

Center Assistant

When you enter the Center or call on the telephone, Ashley is there to greet you with a warm welcome and a smile! In addition to administration assistance, Ashley manages program registrations and coordinates the transportation needs of our members. Ashley is a local resident of Wayne, born and raised. She still lives in Wayne and has had many family members who have attended the Wayne Senior Center over the years. She is an animal lover and hopes to have her own farm one day.
